Diploma in Sanitary Inspector’s course empowers student to acquire these essential skills which will define him as a professional technical expert at the grass root level.


    Practical demonstrations are arranged at Infections Diseases Hospital, Tuberculosis Hospital, S.T.D. Clinics, Maternity Homes, Schools, Leprosy Hospitals, Family Planning Centers, Water purification Plants, Government Dairy, Slaughter Houses, Markets, Refuse Disposal Sites, etc. Demonstrations and Visits to such Institutions of Public Health in Urban & Rural areas are arranged to make the students understand the various diseases. Field visits to Public Health Department, Pest Control Department and Solid Waste Management Department are also arranged to make the students understand various activities carried out by these departments.

    Project Work

    To understand the concept of Health development & Primary Health care, Students are given a project assignment in urban and rural areas. This will include-

    1. Conducting a “Base Line Survey” of the community and
    2. Adoption of a family. The instructions in practical training are given by qualified and experienced staff of Primary Health Centres.
    Qualification for Admission

    The rules and regulations given below are applicable to all students of the course. These rules and regulations are subject to the changes that the Institute may approve form time to time and such rules and regulations shall be binding on every student who joins the Sanitary Inspector’s Diploma course.

    Regular Batch

  • 12th Std. pass from any stream of Diploma holders in Engineering or Two year technical course after 10th Std. pass or MPHW course of state govt.
  • Holiday Batch

  • In service candidates from Government/Semi Government
    1. 10th Std. pass from any Recognized Board
  • In service form Private organization or Non-employed candidates
    1. 12th Std. pass in any stream from any recognized Board
    Additional Norms & Requirements only for In-service Candidates from Government/Semi Government Organizations
  • Candidates should be in regular service or on continuous contract service for more than 2 year in the government or semi government organization.
  • Employment certificate: The employment certificate provided by the employer organization should be submitted at the time of admission.
  • Classroom timing: In the evening after office hours and also on Sundays & public holidays.
  • Age: No Restriction

    Medium of Instruction:

    Medium of instruction in English & Hindi. Subject to the availability of adequate number of students for the chosen language at the respective centre. (Study material available in English & Hindi).

    Duration of the Course:

  • Regular Batch: - One year Course between June – May & January – December.
  • Holiday Batch: - One year Course between June – May & January – December.
  • (Class will be conducted on all Saturday-Sunday & Public Holiday)

  • Final Examination Schedule

    Date of the final examination on the course shall be put up on the Notice Board of the respective Centres well in advance. The final examination shall be held after the completion of the training programme for the course in the month of December/January & May/June of every year.
